For over 35 years, my passion for design, exceptional materials and international craftsmanship has led me to extraordinary people, places and stories.
What started with fashion retail, developed through decades of international furniture collections and eventually became SHERMANS – a platform dedicated to objects with character and soul.
For me, Ikigai is not about reaching a destination, but about the journey of discovery.
It is found in the joy of uncovering extraordinary things, reimagining them and giving them a new meaning.

Throughout the year, I visit the world’s leading design fairs:
Maison & Objet, Ambiente, Salone del Mobile, Trendset, Nordstil and IFEX Jakarta.
These encounters allow me to discover emerging trends, new materials and inspiring forms – while creating personal connections with exceptional makers around the world.

Twice a year, I spend several weeks in Indonesia.
From Jakarta to Mataram, I have built a deep understanding of the region and work closely with a trusted network of producers and artisans.
Supplier visits, quality control, container loading processes and new discoveries are part of my everyday work.
This allows me to ensure exceptional quality, authentic craftsmanship and a unique character in every object.

EUROPEAN CRAFTSMANSHIP – STONEWARE, TERRACOTTA & CERAMICS
Over the past years, I have discovered exceptional workshops across Hungary, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
These places preserve traditional craftsmanship, creating handcrafted ceramics, stoneware tableware and terracotta tiles that combine timeless design with Mediterranean character.
