Like a glassy Asian lotus pond, 6 lotus leaves rise in varying heights. Only a few lotus species are suitable for the processing of our art objects. The ponds must be clear and well-groomed so that the leaves at the bottom are not silted up. Freshly harvested, the Lotus leaves are cooked up to eight times in natural colors, dried and then glued to metal or MDF boards.
The lotus effect, which lets everything roll off, comes to our aid in the end: the finest gold-colored dust in a water-based acrylic varnish makes the individual veins of the lotus leaf shine.
The lotus leaf is one of the most important Buddhist symbols and stands for purity, beauty and holiness in Asia.
