Lotus Production

From Harvest to Lotus Wall Art

Our Lotus objects are created in about 40 work steps.
Of more than 100 lotus species are suitable for the production of such artistic, colorful pictures and objects, only five kinds.
The ponds must be extremely clean and well-kept.
If the undersides of the leaves are smeared, they do not become uniformly colored.

Carefully the leaves are harvested and sorted to sizes, washed again and freed from dirt.

The lotus leaves must be kept cool until coloring.

After a specially developed process, the sheets are then boiled in water pigmented.

The most difficult thing is to color a green leaf of a lotus back into green.

After dyeing, all the leaves are dried on clotheslines, well sorted according to colors, they are waiting to be assembled into a work of art.
And again clean and sort the torn sheets.

You can already see in the pictures that the lotus leaves can not simply glue flat.

Like a tulip, the leaf stretches out of the pond, so you have to cut it.

A "cake piece" is missing and so needs to be hand-fed by hand.

The whole for an aesthetic system: the Lotus heart always strives from the inside out.

If the panels are completely glued, the edges are trimmed with razor blades and trimmed.Of course, what is still missing is the brilliant gold glimmer on each individual vein.

How we do it, however, remains our secret.Too many would like to copy us, but they have no eight years of experience in the processing of such a complex natural wonder!

Since autumn we have been offering our latest development.

Lotus images in XXL format.

If you look at the production steps of the "normal" lotus panels, you can imagine how difficult it is to process leaves up to 80 cm in diameter.

Of course the colors and sizes are almost unlimited.
We can supply custom-made products in approx. 3 months. Just ask.
